110633-6334855-UCD_Student_Centre-6 The GCA has announced a new partnership with University College Dublin, a relationship which will see support offered to the GCA players & coaches in the areas of sport science, career guidance & hands-on coaching support both at the Belfield campus & at Ballinakill. Former Dublin centre back & All Ireland winner Ger Brennan is UCD’s head of Gaelic Games in the college. In conjunction with the GCA’s Hugh Kenny & Des Earls, an agreement has been reached where Wicklow’s future stars will visit UCD to experience & learn about life as a top level sportsperson & also about life on campus. In addition our players will benefit from coaching visits to Ballinakill throughout the season. UCD & Wicklow GAA has a long shared history with former county players Brendán, Oisín & Dara Ó Hannaidh, Paul Earls, Padge McWalter all past pupils not to mention current stars Arran Murphy & Paul Cunningham. The GCA looks forward to a long term, beneficial partnership with Ger & UCD.   ucd 1
